ABOUT VEDIC MATHS

Vedic math’s is a system of mental calculation which was discovered by Indian mathematician Jagadguru Shri Bharathi Krishna Tirthaji (scholar of Mathematics, Sanskrit as well as History and Philosophy) in the period between A.D. 1911 and 1918. His research clearly reveals that, the entire mathematics is based on 16 word-formulae also known as the Sutras. These formulae describe the way the mind naturally works and is therefore a great help to direct the student towards the appropriate method of solution. These formulae are easy and simple to understand, apply and remember.

Using regular mathematical steps, problem solving sometimes become complex and time consuming, but by using Vedic Math’s General Techniques (applicable to all sets of given data) and Specific Techniques (applicable to specific sets of given data), numerical calculations can be done very fast.

These striking and beautiful methods are just a part of a complete system of mathematics which is far more systematic than the modern ‘system
